Awfulix

A movie review app catering to those who enjoy poorly made movies. Awfulix allows users to search movies (supplied by OMDb API), view information about each movie, write reviews on a movie, and rate each movie. I've modified the rating tool to have trashcans in place of stars to add to the theme and promote user friendliness.

Plantastic

An event planning app. User can create, edit, and delete events, attend events and select their contribution which will be displayed along with their name and picture at the bottom of the event page, and comment on events. Users can also see events they are attending on their profile page.

A Picture Worth 10k

A creative writing app. Users can get onto the site and write a short story based on the picture prompt. All story details are rendered in a list at the bottom to see the actual story, users can click on the title and the content will display in a modal window.

Broad City Racing Game

A two-player Broad City themed keypress racing game. The characters in the strips are propelled when a player presses either the "a" key or the "l" key. A winner is declared when a player reaches the finish line.

Tic-Tac-Toe

A simple game of tic-tac-toe. Each player takes turns clicking an empty box until a win/lose or tie is declared.

Loxa Script Email

This email that is triggered by a stylist sending their client a recommendation via the CosmoProf app, is composed of HTML, CSS, and AMPScript. The AMPScript is pulling data from the email's data extension to display details about the stylist and client related to the recipient's subscriber key. Loops and if-cases are put in place for proper formatting, rendering comma-separated values (should there be more than one product that exists in the data extension) and preventing errors from occurring in case of missing values, etc.

About Me

I’m an email and CRM developer with a front-end background. I build campaigns, automations, and web experiences, and I got here by a less typical route: after years as a salon director and curator in San Francisco, I completed General Assembly’s full stack web development program in 2016 and moved into email development.

I started at Loxa Beauty, coding campaigns and triggered automations in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) with HTML, CSS, AMPscript, SQL, XML, CSVs, and Magento.

After parting ways with Loxa, I spent eight years at Meison as the technical hand of a marketing team, supporting six DTC brands plus B2B email. I built up to 40–50 emails a week for audiences from 200 to 120K, planned and built BFCM sends at up to four emails a day per brand, and built many email automations including (but not limited to) welcome, post-purchase, winback, and sunset flows, plus tagging flows and webhook-driven automations that handled list hygiene. I also handled segmentation, personalization, A/B tests, and signup forms and landing pages in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I care about the unglamorous parts too: deliverability monitoring, CAN-SPAM compliance, ESP warming, and cross-client testing.

Klaviyo is where I know the most, from email development and segmentation to flows and integrations with Google Ads and Meta. I’ve also worked in Shopify Email, Mailchimp, Dynamic Yield, Nosto, and Justuno, so I move comfortably between email and onsite experiences and adapt quickly to new platforms.
